Who is covered:

This warranty is extended only to the original end-use purchaser or the person receiving the product as a gift, and shall not be extended to any other person or transferee.

What is covered and for how long

On all products, unless stated (excluding fuel solutions), Smooth Aviation warrants a period of 6 months from the date of retail purchase by the original end-use purchaser, when delivered to you in new condition, in original packaging, directly from Smooth Aviation or an authorised Smooth Aviation reseller and used in normal conditions, is free from any defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance; failure to follow operating instructions;; accident; excess moisture; insects; lightning; power surges; connections to improper voltage supply; unauthorised alteration or modification of original condition; damages caused by inadequate packaging or shipping procedures; loss of, damage to or corruption of stored data; damages caused by use with non Smooth Aviation products; product that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorised, or repair of products damaged by these modifications; and products purchased from unauthorised dealers.

What we will do

During the warranty period, we will, at our sole option, repair or replace (using new or refurbished replacement parts) any defective parts within a reasonable period of time and free of charge.

What you must do to obtain Limited Warranty Service

To return a product, with proof of purchase from an authorised Smooth Aviation dealer or directly from Smooth Aviation, use the following procedures:
1. Contact Smooth Aviation directly for specific return and shipping instructions.
2. Label and ship the product, freight prepaid, to the address provided by Smooth Aviation
3. Place any necessary return authorisation provided number prominently on the outside of the carton. Cartons not bearing a return authorization number, where required, will be refused.

Other conditions

The provisions of this warranty are in lieu of any other warranty, whether expressed or implied, written or oral, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Smooth Aviation limited maximum liability shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by you for the product. In no event shall Smooth Aviation be liable for loss of, or damage to or corruption of stored data, or for special, incidental, consequential, or indirect damages howsoever caused including without limitation the replacement of equipment and property, and any costs of recovering, programming or reproducing and program or data stored in or used with your product.

Other legal rights

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights that vary from place to place. Some places do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

 

Returns Information

We aim to dispatch orders within 1-2 working days, so if you want to cancel an order without incurring a cost for returning unwanted items to us, you will need to do it before your order is dispatched. If you do cancel or amend an order, please call us on 01743 296406 (office hours) or email us at info@smoothaviation.com anytime.

You have a legal right to cancel a contract which starts from the date we confirm your order has been dispatched, which is when the contract between us is formed. If the products have already been delivered to you, you have a period of 6 months in which you may cancel, starting from the day after the day you receive the products. This is calculated by months continued from order date. For example if a order is placed on the 1st of January, you have until the 1st of June to cancel the contract (returns).

To cancel a contract, please contact us in writing to tell us by sending an email to info@smoothaviation.com or by sending a letter to the address below, FAO: Returns. You may wish to keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records. We will then provide more information, or may ask to see the products paperwork.

Where you have cancelled a contract and the products have already been delivered to you, you should return them to us as soon as possible and in any event no later than 28 days after the day you inform us of your right to cancel. You can return products by sending them to our Returns Address below with FAO: Returns

You must retain either the products paperwork (the correct bit of paperwork will say to keep it) or if that paperwork is not there, the original box. Please be aware, possession of the box isn’t always proof and we may refuse to accept returns.
Unless the products are faulty or not as described, you will be responsible for the cost of returning them to us. You have a legal obligation to keep the products in your possession and to take reasonable care of the products while they are in your possession. If you cancel a contract within the 6 month cancellation period, you will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the products and any applicable delivery charges you paid for. You will not be refunded for any costs you have incurred for returning the products to us. Where the products have already been delivered to you, we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 28 calendar days after the day on which we receive the returned products, or (if earlier) within 28 calendar days after the day you provide us with evidence that the products were returned to us. Where the products have not been delivered to you, we will process the refund within 28 calendar days after the day we were informed of your decision to cancel the contract. Unless you expressly tell us otherwise, we will refund you on the credit card or debit card used by you to pay for the products. Smooth Aviation can refuse any return it deems fit. We have a legal duty to supply products that conform with the descriptions and specifications in the contract between you and us. As a consumer, you will always have legal rights in relation to products that are faulty or not as described which are not affected by your cancellation rights above. If you have returned the products to us because they are faulty or mis-described, we may refund the price of a defective product in full, any applicable delivery charges.  See warranty information above for more information for faulty items.

Other conditions
